DISCOVER HOW I HELP CLIENTS LIKE YOU GET UNSTUCK AND CHANGE THEIR LIVES?

DO YOU FEEL THERE IS SOMETHING LACKING IN YOUR ABILITY TO MOVE FORWARD?

ARE YOU ATTEMPTING TO OUTRUN YOUR PAST?

How Does This Work?

Naturally, you will have some questions as to how I can support a person in moving forward with their lives.

I have outlined the most common techniques used in personal therapy sessions to support a client in moving forward and yes, they don’t always involve the spoken word.

Inner Child Therapy is a method where the inner child can be accessed and negative conditionings, belief patterns and values can be positively addressed.

Each of us has an inner child living in our subconscious mind.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a type of talk therapy. Teaches coping skills for dealing with different problems. Focuses on thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect feelings and actions.

Energy Healing Technique

Energy healing technique (Recognised technique by IACP) assists clients to breakthrough energetic blockages holding them back and preventing them from moving forward with their lives in a simple fast and empowering way.

Person Centred Approach

Person centred approach help you to explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour, and worldview, so you can become more self-aware and achieve greater independence.

Somatic Experiencing Approach

Somatic Experiencing approach facilitates the completion of self-protective motor responses and the release of thwarted survival energy bound in the body, thus addressing the root cause of trauma symptoms, physical and emotional  and helping to address the impact of these on daily life and relationships.

Why Counselling & Psychotherapy With A Difference?

With 20 years, as a qualified psychotherapist for therapy to be of benefit it is important that a client leaves the session with something that is beneficial solely for them. I bring my own style and personality to the process and hold a firm belief, “no approach fits all”.

My qualifications have been Irish, United Kingdom and Amercian based therefore providing me an enriching learning experience which is evident in the counselling room. It could that they felt heard with an, “open heart”, and a felt sense that they are not on their own with this issue and leave the session with clarity and hope.

Currently, undertaking advanced clinical training in Somatic Experiencing (SE). SE is a body oriented approach based on the study biology, psychology, neuroscience and indigenous healing practices based on the work of Dr.Peter Levine.

What Are The Issues I Work With?

What is meant by the word issue in modern day society, its associated with heaviness, a tight grip, a pull, a weight, low energy, dense and dull. Compared to its origins from Latin exeo meaning to “go out, exit”. See the difference. Please bear this in mind when you scroll through the following as you can imagine movement, transformation, a way out, an exit.

Unhealed childhood/teenage wounds, trauma, depression, anxiety, Post and Pre Natal Depression, repeated cycles of shame and regret (re-enactment),Impact of ILLness/Sickness, Eating disorders, Abuse (physical, psychological, sexual, spiritual and financial),Intimate abuse, Bullying, Abuse of substances, Grief, Loss & Bereavement, LGBTQ Issues / Gender Identity, Sexual Orientation,/Relationship Issues, Stress, Suicide/Suicidal ideation/Self Harm, Workplace Issues.

What does the first session look like?

First and foremost allow yourself to be at ease and that may be enough. Therapy is not a one way street…it is relational meaning a connection between two people.

I work closely with clients to first establish a connection and build trust from completing thousands of face to face counselling hours with 500 plus clients in almost 20years.

    About Me

My name is Martina Fitzpatrick. I am a fully qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I abide by the IACP code of Ethics.

The decision to become a Psychotherapist was greatly influenced by my own life experiences.  I believe that having suffered, healed and grown certainly helps me understand my clients and help them find a better way to cope.

Clients will be met with a therapist who is qualified, experienced, calm, open, supportive and present because therapy should be a place you feel safe, comfortable and accepted for what you are at that present moment.
